Why would Alan Paton make two books?

       Alan Paton would make to books because it was the only way to write the story. I think it is because the story does come from more the one person because if it didn't then you wouldn't here the whole story. So he makes the book into two parts and writing about two different character's lives. Then in the third book I bet he will clash the characters and they will meet and then he talks in a different perspective but the characters will know each other.
