I changed my mind from what I said in my last blog after reading some more. I think that there maybe will be ghosts in this book. But, I still think that they just say it is "The Ghost of the Yellow Dog" so people aren't afraid that there is someone out there pushing people down their wells. I also think that the ghost of Sutter wasn't coming after Boy Willie but it is connected to the Piano.

I was confused too when Wilson talks about the ghost several times but just seems to ignore it. I understood though why the author was talking about so many deaths because I think Wilson is trying to say that so many people died just so they wouldn't get there hands on the piano.
